Maths - 3D Shapes

This week, we are learning about 3D shapes in Maths.  We are busy finding 3D shapes around us at school.

Féile Drámaíochta - Na Trí Muca

Ghlac na páistí i rang a haon agus a dó páirt sa Féile Drámaíochta i Cáisleán an Bharraigh an seachtain seo.  Leis an dráma 'Na Trí Muca', thug siad taispeántas iontach ar an stáitse agus mar a duirt an moltóir, "bhí siad ar fheabhas!!"
Bhí an dráma roghnaithe chun dul tríd chuig an Féile Scoldrámaíochta Chonnacht ar an 3ú Márta i Gaillimh. Maith thú!!!

Pancake Tuesday

Today we made pancakes. We all helped - whether it was adding the ingredients or stirring the pancake mix!

First Class Writing

First Class read a story called 'The Three Wishes'. We talked about what we would do if we were granted three wishes. Here is what we would wish for.

PE - Dance

The past month, we have been dancing in PE. We did Sean Nós dancing, creative dance, Irish dancing and even a little Flamenco dancing (as part of our work on Spain).

Here we are, learning and dancing the traditional Irish dance 'The Walls of Limerick'. 

Spain Project

Raindrops
Our first theme this term was 'Weather'.

Odd and Even Street
From our work on patterns in Maths, we painted these houses.
1st Class have also been working on odd and even numbers so we arranged our houses to make 'Odd and Even' Street.

Picasso
Picasso is a famous artist. We looked at his drawing 'Bouquet of Peace' and talked about it.
Then we drew our own bouquets.

Éadaí Deasa
Bhí an rang ag déanamh obair ar an téama 'Éadaí' sna ceachtanna Gaeilge.
